Saturday 10.00 p.m uk time the climbers have just returned to base camp having climbed to high camp 1 today! It took 4.30 hrs up and 2 hrs down alittle out of breath but on the whole all ok. They have taken approx 20 kilos of kit up to camp 1 in readiness for the next stage. They are a day ahead of schedule and are resting today Sunday not Monday. I hope the day of rest sorts Ady's altitude sickness - do you know what altitude they are at now? Also....Ady never left me any fight details so I haven't got a clue when they are expected back at heathrow!!! Can any one let me know as i have to plan picking him up!!! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteHi, here is a link to the itinerary so you can keep track of where they are. I wouldn't worry too much about the altitude sickness at this level as its very common and they are all probably having symptoms to some extent it should pass in a day or so just got to keep drinking!
